IRONCLADS FACE OFF FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE CIVIL WAR! #shorts

At the battle of Hampton Roads on March 8th-9th, 1862, the ironclad CSS Virginia (made from the wrecked USS Merrimack) was wrecking havoc on the Union's wood clad ships, so the Union called in their newest weapon, the ironclad USS Monitor. These two brutes would face off marking the first time that two ironclads faced each other in the war.
