NEW REPORT: August 30, 2023 - One Year Later: How Has The Utah Housing Market Changed? - UTAH Year over Year Housing Data. I’m comparing data from 1-year ago to this last month. One year ago, July 2022, 3,246 homes sold. Last month, 3,038 homes sold. 208 fewer homes sold in July 2023 compared to 1 year ago. In July 2022, a home sold in 15 days. It’s taking 9 days longer to sell a home today. The median price per sq.ft. was $233.65. So, we are down by $6/sq.ft. from a year ago. In July 2022, the Median Sold price for a single-family home was $562,000 compared to $552,000 todayin July 2023. The median sold price is only $10,000 below where it was last year. When looking at these numbers, it looks like the market is declining. But home prices have increased every month this year.
