Royal Gorge Bridge & Park

In June of 2023 my wife Jeanie, dog Ollie, & I went to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park which is dog friendly. It was built in 1920 and is in Fremont County, Colorado. The bridge span is 955’ above the Arkansas River, the bridge is 18’ wide and 1260’ long. In 2013 most of the structures on both sides of the bridge were burned in a wildfire, but the bridge was left standing. The more I looked at the construction of this bridge the more I was fascinated by its design, and construction. There are zip lines, gondolas, I seen helicopter rides over the park, we enjoyed it very much. We went into the museum and curator told us that if we were there earlier that sometimes wild sheep come up and eat the fresh grass growth by the Plaza theater as they water the grass daily. Of course as soon as we walked to leave there they were, and the large almost full curl ram took an interest in my puppy Ollie, they were only about 20 yards apart when I sad it’s time to stop recording and get out of here, as we started to move away to our right the ram went left around us and the rest of the herd went to our right, it was crazy, but they just walked off only interested in the grass they were about to enjoy. Below is a link with much more history, and information on the Royal Gorge, Bridge & Park. Below are the addresses my YouTube channel which I no longer have access to, my Instagram page, HRI Services welding Facebook page, and my Facebook page Outdoor Pursuits.
