Could the Israel-Hamas war engulf the region?

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been criss-crossing the Middle East - trying to stop the conflict engulfing the region.

Yesterday, he returned to Israel, where he discussed humanitarian aid with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

But diplomatic efforts have failed to secure even a brief ceasefire so the Rafah Crossing could open. And that's left foreign nationals trapped in Gaza and desperately-needed aid stuck in Egypt.
