Precious Metals Prices & Premiums Rise on War! War sends gold and silver price higher. Gold and silver spot price is on the rise. The terrorist organization, Hamas surprise attack on Israel last week has spurned total war. This conflict is sending safe haven investment, gold back above $1,900 dollars and silver back over $21 dollars per ounce, getting closer to $22.

The week prior gold and silver prices were dropping quickly so those that took advantage of those lower prices are probably happy with the timing of their purchase. Due to this conflict however, demand has dramatically risen for physical gold and silver creating higher premiums over spot and some distribution delays as dealers scramble for additional inventory to meet demand.
