Night hunting for Lionfish in Bermuda

On a very surgey evening, I took to the water after a couple of months off the island. I hadn't recharged my flashlight while away. Towards the end of the freedive, the flashlight started to go dim, so I decided I should look for an exit as soon as possible. Of course as is often the case, just at that moment a lionfish appeared in front of my dim light. I speared the invasive lionfish and swam around the rocky point through rough surf with my light sputtering out on me before I could make it to the beach. A perfect free divefor the Halloween season!
