Quick-Thinking Firefighters Rescue Unconscious Puppy Trapped In Burning Building

This conclusion was recently put to the test in United Kingdom, where a specially-designed pet oxygen mask helped to save a puppy that became unconscious after being overwhelmed by smoke during a fire. The incident occurred on September 18, 2017 in Birmingham, England, UK when a puppy became victim of domestic fire. Thanks to these masks, once the firefighters were able to pull the dog from the burning building, they had a much greater chance of saving the animal’s life.

Several days after receiving their new pet-friendly oxygen masks, these firefighters were already putting them into action. When it comes to saving pets, firefighters are up to the task and rescue countless pets every year. But their jobs are made a lot easier if they are properly equipped to save our fur friends. West Midlands Fire Service is the second largest in the UK outside of London. Fire engines based at each of its thirty-eight fire stations now carry specially-designed oxygen masks to use on pets that have been overcome by the effects of smoke in a fire. There are three reusable masks in each kit, each of different sizes, several of which have been provided by public donation and in conjunction with the Smokey Paws charity.

Fortunately, the entire rescue mission was captured by firefighters on mobile phones and body-worn cameras and dog’s life was saved! After the dog regains conscience, he starts kissing the men who saved his life! Amazing story!
