New study suggests an ambulance might lower survival chances for gunshot and stabbing victims

A new study questions whether a gunshot or stabbing victim should wait for an ambulance or head directly to a trauma center for treatment. According to the study, 62 percent of patients are less likely to die when transported by private vehicle compared to EMS.
