Tristán Kapp is a South African polyglot, secular academic researcher & thought leader. He volunteers as community paralegal, while serving on the executive committee as spokesperson and interfaith officer, at the South African Pagan Rights Alliance (SAPRA). A Non-Profit Company, fighting for Pagan-related religious minorities in South Africa. Tristán is also an occasional blogger, and marginalised identities advocate. Engaging his passions for human sexuality, spirituality, philosophy, psychology, ancient languages, religion and culture. He has a BDiv. (Bachelor of Divinity) and MDiv. (Master of Divinity) in Theology, with research focuses in the Department Systematic & Historical Theology, at the University of Pretoria.

In 2021, he received a sponsored lifetime membership from the Golden Key International Honour Society (University of Pretoria Chapter). And has been a guest on numerous podcasts, as well as news media: both locally and abroad. He has survived multiple ordeals in his life from an early age; a victim of bullying and marginalisation at school, multiple invasive leg surgeries, and a near-death stabbing incident. These experiences saw him pursuing ways to empower the rights of marginalised individuals. By assisting cases of GBV, championing his passion for their victims. He is also passionate about human rights, and combating religious extremism. He remains dedicated to making society more hospitable to "otherness", by challenging perceived "normative" ideas in society, through discourse!

Tristán is also an entrepreneur events Violinist, with his own business "4de Snaar", which he started in 2014 at the age of 16. During Covid-19, he also started "Alterity Counselling", where he aims to provide virtual mental health support to those struggling with post-religion crises. He is inclusive to minorities like LGBTQIA, non-mainstream religious/a-religious, and related communities: assisting people of all ages, embrace their identity of "otherness". Tristán is currently pursuing his (Ph.D.) Doctor of Philosophy in Religion Studies, at the University of Pretoria; focusing on expressions of sexuality as post-theistic spirituality in Eastern, Western and African esotericism (expected 2024). He is also working on obtaining his marriage officer license, in order to pursue his dream of solemnising non-mainstream marriages, in South Africa. He is always looking for collaborative opportunities to pursue new and exciting projects, as academic thought leader on non-mainstream religions, and new religious movements in South Africa.
