My story:
I landed in Israel on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023. I had plans to spend 2.5 weeks there. Visiting with friends, family, and my old home where I grew up and went to elementary school before moving to America at age 13, in 2001.

I was able to spend 3 days there during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Little did I know that things were about to get very, very ugly and war was about to erupt in my old homeland. I woke up in Tel-Aviv, Israel on October 7, 2023 to learn that war just broke out and Bibi Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel has declared war on Hamas after the latter invaded Israel, through Gaza, and committed atrocities on Israeli civilians, including: murder, kidnapping, rape, and the beheading of babies. Rockets were being actively fired upon my location and I had to find an exit strategy.
