[Transitional Times Poem Collection] -
Supporting each other’s efforts in awareness raising in these ‘transitional times’ is really important. Each new ear we reach benefits us all. That was one reasons why I was glad to write and share “Alternative Media Means – I Salute You”, in appreciation of those ‘voices’ that informed and shared; also as a means of propagating awareness for those beginning to seek ‘other’ sources of information than main stream propaganda! Our different approaches and styles offer those presently ‘attuned’ a range of options to share with potential new ears. Each ear we reach benefits us all.

The more we cross share within present audiences …. the more choice our audiences have for onward sharing of ‘information’ in a ‘means’ which may open ‘another friend or family members’ eyes to various ‘nefarious’ agendas.

As we each know, it can sometimes seem like a ‘thank less’ task … and while it is not done for acknowledgement or glory … a shout out and fellow support is a great motivator as we proceed to support the ‘lesser heard’ … hence Brothers & Sisters in Arms!

This poem falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem category which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time in Ireland and Worldwide'.

Poem Wording:-

Brothers in Arms & Sister Charms

Remember brothers, you have sisters too!?
If you hadn’t forgotten, we might not now be,
in such a bad ‘to do’!!

So remember guys, it’s not just ‘you’ and ‘you’!
We’re here also. You have sisters too!?

Probably was one of us ‘sisters’, that ‘put it up’ to you.
By a ‘prod in the ribs’, or a ‘word in an ear’.
Or the information shared, about, a worry or fear.

Remember also, to mention your sisters … dear!!
Many of us were up and about ahead of you.
So don’t leave us out when giving a cheer.
Remember we are right alongside you. Clear?!

The point is, we are brothers and sisters who army together.
Please brothers, do remember,
we sounded many of the alarms
and we also have arms!
If not, add a ‘h’ and watch out for our ‘harms’!
If yes, put on a ‘ch’ and enjoy all our ‘charms’!!

So remember brothers, you have sisters too.
Kiss kiss, we ‘sisters’, do love you!!
And we know in truth, you do, love us too.

So don’t forget to give us a mention,
We are in this battle, along with you.

Louise,
13-5-23.
