Hamas ‘don’t represent’ all Palestinian people: Joe Biden

United States President Joe Biden says there needs to be a “path to a Palestinian state”.

The US president has sat down with 60 Minutes in the US to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

He warned Israel of occupying Gaza, saying it would be a “big mistake”.

“What happened in Gaza, in my view, is Hamas and extreme elements of Hamas don’t represent all the Palestinian people,” he said.

Mr Biden condemned the actions of Hamas, saying he does believe Hamas must be eliminated.

“There needs to be a Palestinian authority.”
