Denzel Washington as a young man wanted to study medicine. He attended Fordham University where he enrolled to study medicine. After a while he dropped out of the program opting to study theatre and film. One of his earlier roles he play a doctor on screen . Denzel Washington was born on December 28th 1954 in Mount Vernon New York. His father Denzel Washington Sr was a Preacher. His mother Lennis,"Lynne" was a beauty parlor owner and partly raised in Harlem, New York
