Water Drops of gravity vs capillary adhesion
8 months ago
1
A science demonstration of adhesion and cohesion physics of the 4th state or water, known as EZ water, or water film in a sand profile that is elevated in the air. This is a key element fundamental in EPIC sand hydroponics.
Note the water drops fighting gravity. Some water drops wick back up into the sand by capillary adhesion, while gravity also pulls other water drops back down. These forces of nature seek balance and demonstrate how EPIC profiles use gravity to drain, while also defying gravity in the capillary zone for passive irrigation.
