Artemis I

Artemis I is the first flight of NASA's Artemis program, expected to launch in late 2021 or early 2022. This uncrewed mission will be conducted using the Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion spacecraft. The primary goal of Artemis I is to test the integrated system performance of SLS and Orion, paving the way for future Artemis missions that will return humans to the Moon and eventually enable crewed missions to Mars. Artemis I will be a major milestone in NASA's journey to explore deep space, pushing the boundaries of human spaceflight and advancing our understanding of our celestial neighbor.
