Book 01 - Genesis - KJV

Introduction: The word Genesis means "beginning". This book tells how everything that exists started and how human beings, sin and suffering came about. And it tells how God, in the beginning, appeared to people and showed how they should live in justice before him.
The Book of Genesis is divided into two parts. The first, from chapters 1 to 11, tells how God created everything that exists, including the human race. There are the stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and the flood and the tower of Babel.
The second part, from chapter 12 to 50, tells the story of the Hebrew patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their twelve sons, who were the beginning of the twelve tribes of Israel. And the book ends with the story of Joseph, one of the sons of Jacob, who took his brothers and his father to live in Egypt.
In the Book of Genesis, God acts. He creates the world, cares for people and shows interest in his people. God judges and punishes the wicked and blesses the righteous.
