Mother Cow Protects Baby Calf, Attacks Dairy Farmer

Undercover footage has shown young calves being punched, kicked and abused in Shropshire prior to slaughter.

The male calves, which have little commercial value, were collected from dairy farms in the Midlands and trucked to Oaklands Livestock Centre, near Prees, where the images were filmed.
Undercover filming by the Animal Justice Project show the animals being beaten and, sometimes, deprived of food and water for long periods.
