Blake didn’t plan on becoming a stepfather to three boys, but he’s thrilled with how things turned out. Not that it didn’t come with a ton of hard work; Blake says it was a struggle to find the perfect balance between being a friend and a parent. He decided to spend more time with his family, which is part of the reason he stepped away from “The Voice.” Blake says becoming a stepdad made him way less selfish, and he was inspired by his own father and stepfather, who helped raise kids that weren’t biologically theirs. And, while Blake has lots of fun with his family, he’s serious about doing the work and earning Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo’s respect!

Becoming a stepdad for three boys takes a whole lot of work. And it sounds like Blake is up for the challenge!
