Abraham, in his old age, wanted a wife for his son Isaac. He called upon his trusted servant and made him swear not to find a wife from the Canaanites but from Abraham's own family. The servant questioned whether the woman would agree to leave her homeland, but Abraham insisted that God would guide him.

The servant set off with ten camels to Nahor. By a well in the evening, he prayed for a sign. Before he finished, a beautiful woman named Rebekah arrived, offering him water and even drawing water for his camels. The servant knew this was a sign from God.

He asked Rebekah's family for her hand in marriage for Isaac. They agreed, and Rebekah willingly joined the servant on his journey. Upon meeting Isaac, they married, bringing comfort after Sarah's death.
