James Gunn’s reboot of DC Films was supposed to be tentpole holding up the rest of Warner Bros. Discovery, but more and more are beginning to worry that the odds are stacked against it succeeding – and the biggest obstacle may be damage to the DC brand, ironically delivered by DC’s own movies, most notably the upcoming Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.
Variety may just have delivered a fatal blow, as they saw fit to remind everyone of the movies connection to the Johnny and Amber debacle, and they even added fuel to that fire by linking Elon Musk even closer to the production, as well as by dragging Jason Momoa into the drama to boot. So, what are they saying, and how is bad even for James Gunn’s reboot? We’re about to find out.
