Workers at the GM CAMI Assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario are on strike after negotiators failed to secure a tentative agreement with the automaker. Members of the union Unifor Local 88 went on strike late Sunday night. According to the union's site, General Motors "failed to address a key job security issue" by the deadline. The CAMI Assembly plant has about 2,752 workers. The plant has been building the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox since January 2017.
