PD: Man killed in double shooting near Xavier University

A man in his 20s has died after a double shooting at about 12:30 a.m. Monday at 1820 Rutland Ave. near Xavier University. The second victim was a man in his 20s who was shot several times and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police said he was not alert when taken to the hospital. Police said neither victim was a student. A man was seen running away from the scene with a gun, but a K-9 unit was unable to track anything. Police are asking the public to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040 if they have any information. WCPO will update this developing story.
