Members of the National Guard set up at the Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Racing and Poker track to give out hundreds of cases of water to people in Bonita Springs. "These guys are awesome out here in the 95 degree heat serving us, helping us out. It doesn't get much better than that," said Stephan after soldiers filled his car with cases of water. People in their cars explained how water is finally being replenished in Bonita Springs after it's been a rare find since hurricane Irma made landfall a week ago. Lucero Contreras said, "Without them, a lot of us wouldn't have any water at all." 2nd Lieutenant Mason Lewis says this is a great part of his job, and the people in his unit are happy to help the community when they need it most. "We've had a lot of tears," Lieutenant Lewis said, "A lot of people are just really thankful." He says the unit plans to be in Southwest Florida as long as they're needed.
