HEAL (VISUALIZER) By PSYD🦋EFFECT

Today is Friday, October 13, 2023, my name is Samantha Robb and I am simply a PSYD🦋EFFECT of my life experiences.

I am very excited to announce the release of “HEAL”. I wrote this song hand-in-hand with God as he lovingly challenges me to grow, heal and become a better woman, the woman he put me here to be.

As most of you know, this life we get to live is an incredible journey of opportunity, of ups and downs, challenges, and obstacles. Most of us face spiritual demons, some of us face addiction, but no matter what, all of us will face struggle.

I am not where or who I want to be yet, but I’m finally on the road to get there. This song isn’t perfect, and that’s okay, because that means there’s room to grow and get better and that’s what I’m most excited about. This is me taking responsibility for the choices I’ve made, so that I can heal and grow, to ultimately become a better version of who I am.

I both invite and challenge you to join me on your own healing journey. It’s going to be hard, it’s going to be uncomfortable, but most importantly – it’s going to be worth it. Dig deep, seek to find the root of the pain you’ve trapped inside your mind and heart. Surrender control and allow God to heal you from the inside out. The only thing stopping you, is you. It’s time to get out of your own way.

We’re in this together.
Thank you for being here on this journey with me.
with Love,

Sam

LYRICS:

Verse 1:
How come everyone always has somethin' to say?
Do you ever sit in silence and think about your mistakes?
Why is it so hard for people to change?
Have you ever solved a problem by running away?

CHORUS:
Instead of walking 'round here projecting your pain
Why don't you go heal all the trauma in your brain
Maybe then you won't feel so much self-hate
Take responsibility for things that you can change
Cuz you're not a victim, you're just set in your ways
You're not a victim, it's just easier to complain
I'm not a victim, I accept my blame
I'm not a victim, I'm ready to change

*Guitar Solo*

Verse 2:
Finding things to talk about to deflect from feeling pain
You can point the finger but at the end of the day, you're the one to blame
Hold yourself accountable, take claim of your mistakes,
Accept responsibility, or nothing will ever change.
(half speed)
Why can't we all just get out of our own way?
I pray to God and ask Him to help me make this change

CHORUS:
Instead of walking around here projecting your pain
Why don't you go heal all the trauma in your brain
Maybe then you won't feel so much self-hate
Take responsibility for the things that you can change
Cuz you're not a victim, you're just set in your ways
You're not a victim, it's just easier to complain
I'm not a victim, I won't play these games
I'm not a victim, I turn to God & pray

*Guitar Solo*

BRIDGE:
(octave up)
Somewhere in your past you probably were abused
I'm sorry you were hurt, but now it's just an excuse
Recognize you're mind is in an unhealthy state
and you might have picked up a few narcissistic traits
Don't be sad, though, it's okay
Now's your chance to heal all the damage from the pain
You’ve held on long enough, let go these weights
Allow God to heal you and turn your pain into strength

CHORUS:
Instead of walking around projecting your pain
Take the time to heal the trauma in your brain
Maybe then you won't feel so much self-hate
Take responsibility for things that you can change
You're not a victim, you're just set in your old ways
You're not a victim, it's just easier to complain
I'm not a victim, I'm going to be okay.
I'm not a victim, God makes me stronger through pain
