Adding Doors and Sheeting to Our Underbay Walls! Skoolie Build Series

Now that the underbay frame and sheeting have been primed, it is time to install the sheeting and doors. The primer we used (red oxide water-based primer) allows me to weld through the primer to install the sheeting. After the doors and sheeting were installed, I painted the walls with a black equipment oil-based paint for rust protection. When the paint was dry, I installed 2 inch ridged insulation and re-purposed some of the inner roof metal as wall paneling on the inside of the underbay walls.

We are a husband and wife team that loves to take on hard projects. We finished our bus project after 2 years of hard work and are now enjoying life on the road. We plan to travel for a year or two more while we prepare to homestead in northern Idaho. Come join us as we document our journey.
