Bakersfield Police hold DUI/Driver's License checkpoint

The Bakersfield Police Department held a DUI and Driver's License Checkpoint Friday night in East Bakersfield between 6:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Columbus Street.  BPD says 511 vehicles were screened. Police made one DUI arrest and 16 drivers were cited for driving without a license or suspended license.  Two drivers were detained to be further evaluated to determine their sobriety influence level.
