Amanda Bynes Called 911 When She Realized She Needed Help

Earlier this year, Amanda Bynes experienced a terrifying psychotic episode. But, this time around, the actress sought help and managed to call 911 for assistance. Now she’s being praised for bravely seeking treatment.

In March 2023, Amanda was found wandering the streets of L.A. without any clothes. She waved down a passing car, and called 911 on herself. A mental health team determined Amanda should be put under a 5150 hold, and the former child star ended up staying in a facility for a week. Since being released, Amanda has had her ups and downs. In June, she once again reached out for help after a setback. After another two-week stay in a facility, Amanda is working with mental health officials and family members to make sure she takes her medication every single day.
