Admonishment to Men: The women are to be taken care of. | 1 Peter 3:7

1. "Eve is not to fend for herself."
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her" ~ Ephesians 5:25
Scripture does not strictly apply to those literally married but the church as a whole. Men are to cover women.

2. "Widows represent single women."
"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." ~ James 1:27
"Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow." ~ Isaiah 1:17
It's only recently in human history that women remain single or become divorced so commonly; it's never been normal throughout the ages.

3. "Women are the glory of men."
"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man." ~ 1 Corinthians 11:7
"Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered." ~ 1 Peter 3:7
Women need a covering because they are more vulnerable.
