Union workers at Detroit's three casinos are preparing to strike

Local 24 president Nia Winston said Thursday the casinos are not doing enough to fill open positions and the wages aren't competitive. Thirty-seven-hundred union employees are threatening to strike if no agreement is reached before the contract expires. They say despite the casinos making record profits of two-point-two billion dollars since reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic, they have not received any raises.
