Hills, Hollers, Barns & Meatloaf - A drive around Butler, TN

While working out in Butler today, I decided to grab a quick lunch at an adorable little place, The Watauga Lake Mercantile, and take a bit of a detour through some hollers and around the lake.

The Mercantile is so cute and has a little camp-store style vibe to it. The attached restaurant has maybe 14 tables and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced!

We also stopped by a small scenic overlook where you can see the mountains, Lake Watauga and even the ridgeline where the Appalachian Trail makes its way through Butler and Elizabethton.
