The United Nations reported that over 338,000 individuals have been compelled to leave their residences in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing heavy Israeli bombardment in the Palestinian enclave.

The UN’s humanitarian agency, OCHA, stated on Thursday that “widespread displacement throughout the Gaza Strip” persists.

By late Wednesday, the number of displaced individuals in Gaza had increased by an additional 75,000 people compared to the figure reported 24 hours earlier, reaching a total of 338,934.

This announcement coincided with Israel’s continued airstrikes on Hamas targets within the densely populated Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million people, in response to the unexpected attack by militants on Saturday, Barrons reported.
