This fantastic temple complex is now realised to contain the largest pyramid on the American continent, and probably the whole world (in terms of mass).

La Danta stands a staggering 236 feet tall. It has a total volume of nearly 99 million cubic feet, making it one of the world's largest pyramids, as well as one of the world's most enormous ancient structures. It's been calculated that 15 million man-days of labor were needed to construct the gigantic building.

The place is very difficult to access. There are no real roads and it takes a long time to get to the destination, but it's worth the effort. This amazing place has been hidden in sub-tropical forests for centuries.
