Nu metal pioneers @kornofficial first crashed onto the scene in the 90s with their unique blend of heavy riffs, hip hop beats, and raw vocals. Songs like "Blind," "Freak on a Leash," and "Got the Life" helped define their signature sound and shaped the nu metal genre.

It's hard to believe it's been nearly 30 years since Korn emerged from Bakersfield and unleashed their self-titled debut album onto the world in 1994. They've since gone on to sell millions of albums and solidify themselves as one of the biggest forces in heavy music.

Despite line-up changes over the decades, the band continues to tour and record new material for their legions of dedicated fans around the world. Their live shows are as intense as ever and they've proven that they can still churn out hits and relevant new music so many years into their career.

Korn's 13th studio album "The Nothing" dropped in 2019 and showed the veterans still have that fire. Jonathan Davis' vocals are as emotive as ever, Fieldy's bass pounds as heavy as the nineties, and Munky and Head's riffs slice right through you.

No matter what sub-genre of metal you're into, you have to tip your hat to Korn for trailblazing a new sound and inspiring countless bands to push heavy music in new directions. They helped make hard rock, metal, and alternative the force it is today. Who's your favorite member of this legendary band? 🤘
