Gato Barbieri collides into Funky Chuck from Croatia for the Segue City Special that closes out the work week with Gato doing his own version of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" and Chuck and his crew taking on a classic Tower of Power song. We're thinking about doing a whole week of segues soon from known artists and copy bands who actually copy certain songs better than the original artist doing them. There's a boatload of copies to work with...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
