Pit bull shot by masked robbers in south side Indianapolis home invasion

A pit bull was shot and critically injured early Wednesday morning by two men who broke into a south side home. The victims told police one of the intruders brandished a pistol and, upon seeing their 1-year-old pit bull "Zane," shot their dog.
