Day 3 of RLCC Daily Devo: Responding to God's Call

Scripture: Genesis 12:4-5
"So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan."

Reflection:
Abram's response to God's call is a remarkable example of obedience. At seventy-five, he left behind everything to follow God's direction, even taking his family and possessions with him. This act of obedience shows his unwavering faith.

Application:
God's call often requires us to leave behind the familiar and embark on a new journey. Like Abram, we should be willing to obey, even when it seems daunting. Trusting in God's guidance and stepping out in faith can lead to incredible blessings.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to respond to Your call with obedience and faith, just as Abram did. Give us the courage to leave behind what is comfortable and follow Your direction, knowing that You lead us to blessings beyond measure. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
