Las Vegas police reported a neighborhood dispute that unfolded over five hours, culminating in the surrender of a man in the southwest valley. At 2:11 p.m. on Oct. 11, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Mountain Moss Drive, responding to a person-with-a-gun report and a described neighbor dispute near Rainbow Boulevard and Twain Avenue. The man allegedly threatened a neighbor with a gun and, upon police intervention, barricaded himself inside his residence, refusing to surrender.

Around 7 p.m., police announced that SWAT successfully negotiated the man's "peaceful surrender." Precautionary evacuations of nearby homes were conducted, and the public was advised to steer clear of the area until the resolution was achieved.
