PD: 12-year-old girl, teen boy shot in Mount Airy

Two people, one of them a preteen girl, were shot Tuesday night at a Mount Airy apartment complex. Cincinnati police Capt. Dennis Swingley said a woman called 911 to report she had been shot at Forest Ridge Townhomes, an apartment complex on Hawaiian Terrace. Police on the scene discovered one of the victims was a 12-year-old girl and rushed her to Children’s Hospital. The other victim, a 17-year-old boy, was also taken into medical treatment. The 12-year-old's injuries were not life-threatening, Swingley said.
