It was the first ever Hell in a Cell match in WWE history AND the debut of the Undertaker's "little brother," Kane! This was also our final stop on the road to the infamous Survivor Series 1997, which was Bret Hart's last match in WWE for over a decade. On top of that, Brian Pillman passed away in a hotel room before this event and the WWF broke the news on their pre-show, also giving any updates they had during the PPV itself. For not being all that great of a show, this was certainly an historic event!
