Muslim mom ask Waterloo Region Council to vote against pro-LGBT censorship bylaw

Marium Ali, a local representative from the #1MillionMarch4Children and HandsOffOurKids.ca organizations, delegated on September 27, 2023 against a proposed Waterloo Region by-law amendment that sought the power to ban any mode of speech or public protest against LGBT ideology from taking place on Region property, buildings, buses or trains. She explained the thoroughly flawed and subjective nature of "prioritizing hurt feelings" as a grounds for censoring freedom of speech.
