Just as Chandler starts to propose to Monica, Monica's ex-boyfriend Richard walks in with a date, and the moment is lost. What follows is a very awkward dinner as Richard and his date join Monica and Chandler.
When Joey thinks he has to guess how much a boat costs at Rachel's charity silent auction, he accidentally buys the boat.
Trying to save face with her boss, Rachel comes up with a plan to try and convince the next highest bidder to buy the boat.
