Baby footprints going digital at Sparrow Hospital

Babies born at Sparrow Hospital will now get a new kind of footprint on their birth certificate. The hospital is doing away with the ink method and is using a digital system instead. The Certa Scan captures a baby's footprint, leaving a digital record that lasts a lifetime. Sparrow says the new technology is more accurate and there's less cleanup.
