TIME TO FEED THE BUSH BABIES!

Bush babies, also known as galagos or nagapies, are small nocturnal primates found in sub-Saharan Africa.

They are omnivores that eat fruit, insects, tree gum, and sometimes small animals.Bush babies are adapted to nocturnal living with their large, collapsible ears that rotate independently like radar dishes to zero in on prey in the dark.

They have evolved to survive in nearly every kind of habitat on the continent, from evergreen forests to grasslands.

Some species, like the South African galago, hang out in acacia trees on the savanna, while others, like the brown greater galago, prefer more tropical and subtropical forests, while the Somali galago can be found in dry, thorny habitats.

Bush babies are ace jumpers, using powerful legs and extremely long tails to spring great distances.Their plaintive cries and cute appearance may account for the name "bush baby." They have large, round eyes for good night vision and bat-like, delicate ears that enable them to track insect prey in the dark.
