Sally Matheny is a freelance writer and blogger. Her writing is published in worldwide, online and print publications including Appleseeds, Clubhouse Jr., Homeschooling Today, Practical Homeschooling, Keys for Kids, and The Old Schoolhouse. Sally also writes educational and entertaining books for children. A former public-school teacher, Sally has homeschooled for twenty-four years. She’s a life-long learner and is always taking a history or writing class of some sort. She loves to pass on what she learns by teaching history and creative writing classes to student groups. In addition, she serves on the leadership teams for the Write2Ignite Conference and for Isothermal Community College’s History Matters program series. She and her husband have three children, two sons-in-law, and armfuls of grandblessings. They live in the North Carolina foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
