What is this nut for? #fenderstratocaster #fenderjapan

This Fender Stratocaster from Japan is different than any other Japanese strat I've ever seen. It has an odd little allen screw or nut beside the lower strap button. Please leave a comment if you know what specific model this is or what the little nut/screw by the strap button is for.
