This is the Lenovo Thinkpad P14s Gen4 with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U octacore Zen 4 processor.
The CPU cores are made with 4nm lithography but the laptop still gets quite hot, perhaps because the TDP was set by Lenovo to 28W.
Thus the CPU fan can quite noisy at times, especially noticeable in a quiet room.
This Thinkpad's specs are here: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_P14s_Gen_4_AMD/ThinkPad_P14s_Gen_4_AMD_Spec.pdf
This model is 21K5001HUS.
Regarding Linux: Ubuntu's latest installer did not boot for me, but both Debian Linux and Slackware64-current Linux did install.
Fan measurements:
I don't have a decibel meter but I did run inxi (on Linux) to get info:
* Running a single core benchmark, CPU was 60C, fan was at 2660 RPM.
* Playing a YouTube video full-screen in Firefox, CPU was 59C, GPU 50C, fan 2400 RPM.
* Idling, both CPU and GPU were 32C but fan was at 2370 RPM.
