Pumpkinfest 5k Confluence 1st Overall 18:14

Finally won this race after 3 or 4 tries. Time was between 18:15-18:20. I forgot to stop watch so strava says like 20 mins. Lead whole second half. Drafted and took it easy 1st half could have took lead earlier, actually did at one point but didnt stay up front since wasnt going for time just ran steady and comfortably behind draft with that headwind played it smart. Had tons top end speed to drop the hammer into a low 5 min pace if needed to. Never got out comfort zone. Was cold like 42° when pulled in. They gave out huge ass trophy. Huge headwind today both ways at least 20 mph Def cost me at least 15-25 seconds of time. Started slow behind some kids then gradually went to front. As i said Held back alot first half as drafted kept it in zone high 3 to low 4. Kid who was in lead for most part till turn went past turn around by 5-10yards. Did yell at him to turn. After that i was able to pull back more and run easier then i did way out.
