Rockets fired from Gaza hit Israeli cities as Hamas attack continues

Multiple cities in southern Israel have been hit by rockets from Gaza, leaving buildings and homes damaged.

Hamas has been firing hundreds of rockets into Israel since it launched a surprise attack on Saturday, in which assailants rampaged through the heavily fortified frontier and shot unarmed civilians as they encountered them. The Israeli military said it had called up an unprecedented 300,000 reservists and was imposing a ‘siege’ on the Gaza Strip, after launching hundreds of air strikes on the Palestinian enclave.
