Jews being told to avoid Sydney’s CBD ‘most repugnant’ aspect of pro-Palestine protests

Executive Council of Australian Jewry Co-CEO Alex Ryvchin says the “most repugnant” aspect of the pro-Palestine protests is the warning from NSW Police for Jewish people to avoid Sydney’s CBD.

Jewish people have been warned to stay away from Sydney’s CBD to avoid being identified by pro-Palestinian protestors.

“That the mob has prevailed, that the ones who are threatening and harassing and spreading racial hatred in our streets were able to hold the day,” Mr Ryvchin told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“Peace-loving citizens of the Jewish community were told to keep out of our own CBD.

“Jewish Australians in from Sydney weren’t able to access our own city centre; it’s an extraordinary state of affairs.”
