Puerto Rican Grassroots Assert Their Vision in sparsely attended Republican Assembly
San Juan, Puerto Rico - Members of the Puerto Rican grassroots movement have made a resounding statement at the Republican Assembly, demonstrating their commitment to the conservative cause. The assembly, led by Drew McKissic, was overshadowed by a significant presence of bona fide community members and conservative grassroots activists. These individuals filled the room, demanding change and exposing the delegation's ties to China and their affiliation with progressive parties in Puerto Rico.
In a remarkable show of unity, the protesters, outnumbering the current leadership 3 to 1, stood up against what they labeled a 'social club' with interests favoring China and affiliations with progressive parties on the island. Despite attempts to intimidate the patriot group, they stood firm, brandishing two large banners that read "No More RINOs" and accused the current leadership of betraying the nation and the Republican ideals.
Mariel Feliciano, the organizer of the protest, expressed her gratitude to the hundreds of standing Republicans who supported her in delivering a clear message to the world about the persecution faced by conservatives on the island due to the local pro-China leadership. She quoted Ronald Reagan, stating, "We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions."
Feliciano emphasized the urgent need to empower the people, stating, "The conservative grassroots have spoken loudly and clearly today. We reject this leadership, which lacks the power of conviction and is directed by progressives. This message will reverberate wherever these progressives exist. This directive financially supports Democratic candidates in the United States and blatantly excludes conservatives who do not support Puerto Rico's annexation as the 51st state. We stand against the poor defense of Republican values and the pacts the resident commissioner has made with Democrats in Congress against the conservative American vision, which contradicts our GOP principles."
We want to avoid a statehood process that could send Luis Fortuño to Congress, where he might vote in favor of his commercial partners in China. We aim to empower the people to express themselves. Today, it has been demonstrated that the people are with us. The room was practically empty, but we have brought the public to make it clear that we reject them and they do not represent us," she concluded.
